Hotel interiors. Development trends
Along with the quality of service, a variety of additional services and other factors, the starryness of a hotel is also affected by the interior decoration of rooms and common areas. Therefore, without exception, all hotels are very careful in choosing the design of rooms, halls, conference rooms and even toilets.
For example, hotel chains strictly monitor that in each of their hotels in any corner of the world all rooms are made to the same standards. Colors, coatings, furniture, textiles – everything will correspond to the style chosen once during creation.
As a rule, the interior design throughout the hotel corresponds to the general concept and is made in the same style. But another concept is also successful, when each number or part of the number of rooms is made in its own unique style. So, moving from one part of the hotel to another, you seem to fall into another world with its own unique atmosphere.
Currently, there are a number of trends that are becoming increasingly popular:
Emphasis on environmental friendliness. To create a feeling of closeness to nature, hotels use natural eco-friendly materials in the interior, install aquariums, terrariums or cages with birds and animals, and plant greenery in the rooms and common areas.
Advanced technology and hi-tech. Very often, business people stay in hotels who need to always stay in touch, even if they come on vacation. Hotels are trying to fully satisfy these needs, not only installing free wi-fi, but also providing comfortable workplaces, placing a laptop or tablet with the Internet in the public domain at the reception, providing copy and scan services and providing other amenities necessary for business people.
Expansion of functions. To increase the level of comfort, hotels expand the possibilities of places that were previously unremarkable. From the bathrooms create mini-spa with Jacuzzi and hydromassage; restaurants at hotels transform so that they become a city attraction; in the lobby create a workspace for work, negotiation, business meetings.
As practice shows, this or that interior style is not a decisive factor for hotel customers. The decisive role is usually played by the remoteness of the hotel, price per room, and the availability of additional service. Nevertheless, the unique interior style can be the highlight of the hotel, for which tourists will come from all over the world.
